About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach curriculum developed by the department to maximize student learning
  • Plan and organize instruction, including preparing syllabi in accordance with department policies
  • Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, utilizing instructional technology
  • Modify instructional methods to meet the needs of a diverse student body
  • Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success
  • Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of student information

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Aided Manufacturing or a related field OR a high school diploma/equivalent with a widely accepted industry certification (e.g., Journeyman card) and at least five years of field experience
  • Must reside in or be able to perform work within Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky
  • Demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology and multimedia-based instruction
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work within a culturally diverse community

Preferred Qualifications

  • Collegiate or university teaching experience in the field
  • Professional experience in precision machining
  • Professional experience in CNC machining
