About the role
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively across global, cross-disciplinary teams and with third parties to accelerate the development and deployment of computational science technology.
- Frame computational challenges based on business needs to develop solutions that balance accuracy and runtime.
- Develop solutions that merge physics and data while incorporating uncertainty.
- Create novel approaches to constrain predictive models using field data.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Geoscience, or Computational Science with a GPA of 7.0/10.0 or above.
- For Master's degree holders, a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Experience in developing, applying, and analyzing physics-based models and related algorithms.
- Strong background in multiscale or multiphysics mathematical modeling, scientific computing, and numerical analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, or Python.
- Experience with software engineering best practices, including Agile, DevOps, version control, and software testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with surrogate modeling for optimal design and inverse problem-solving.
- Exposure to hybrid modeling approaches combining data-driven and physics-based methods using machine learning tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Knowledge of deep learning techniques for advanced data analysis.
- Prior experience in the upstream oil and gas industry.
