Compressor Station Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate compressor engines, auxiliary equipment, pipelines, and associated facilities
• Perform routine maintenance including lubrication, checking oil/water levels, and adjusting equipment
• Analyze engine performance and relay critical readings and pressure information to Gas Control
• Maintain constant alertness for equipment failures and pressure changes
• Complete work orders and enter data into the CMMS (SAP) system
• Perform pipeline operations such as patrolling for leaks, clearing right-of-way, and repairing leaks
• Maintain a clean and safe engine room and facility grounds

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of mechanical maintenance experience
• Relevant industrial experience
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• Ability to work a 12-hour, all-nights, 2/2/3 rotating shift schedule
• Ability to be subject to 24/7 call-outs for emergency response
• Ability to work in adverse weather, perform heavy lifting (50 pounds), and work in cramped conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of technical training or experience in natural gas pipeline systems
• Knowledge of hand tools and precision measuring instruments
• Experience working in plant environments
• Proficiency with Windows computers and Microsoft Office suite
