Compounding/Tableting Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate pharmaceutical bulk compounding equipment and tableting presses, including PLC-controlled blenders, dryers, and granulators
• Maintain accurate and concurrent documentation, including batch records, logbooks, and timecards
• Perform equipment setup, disassembly, and cleaning in accordance with SOPs and cGMPs
• Utilize in-process devices such as moisture analyzers, scales, hardness testers, and calipers
• Operate material handling devices including electric and manual pallet jacks
• Follow strict safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and the use of required PPE (respirators, safety glasses, etc.)
• Monitor processes to identify "out-of-spec" materials and escalate anomalies to supervisors

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6-12 months of relevant manufacturing experience
• Basic math skills and ability to apply the metric system to process calculations
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using various hand tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work 1st shift (6:00am – 2:30pm) and handle overtime, weekends, or holidays if required

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical school certificate or 1-2 years of college education
• Minimum of one year of experience specifically in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Windows-based personal computer applications
