About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate pharmaceutical bulk compounding equipment and tableting presses, including PLC-controlled blenders, dryers, and granulators
- Maintain accurate and concurrent documentation, including batch records, logbooks, and timecards
- Perform equipment setup, disassembly, and cleaning in accordance with SOPs and cGMPs
- Utilize in-process devices such as moisture analyzers, scales, hardness testers, and calipers
- Operate material handling devices including electric and manual pallet jacks
- Follow strict safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and the use of required PPE (respirators, safety glasses, etc.)
- Monitor processes to identify "out-of-spec" materials and escalate anomalies to supervisors
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6-12 months of relevant manufacturing experience
- Basic math skills and ability to apply the metric system to process calculations
- Mechanical aptitude and experience using various hand tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work 1st shift (6:00am – 2:30pm) and handle overtime, weekends, or holidays if required
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical school certificate or 1-2 years of college education
- Minimum of one year of experience specifically in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with Windows-based personal computer applications
