Compounding/Tableting Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate pharmaceutical bulk compounding equipment and tableting presses, including PLC-controlled blenders, dryers, and granulators.
• Maintain accurate and concurrent documentation, including batch records, logbooks, and timecards.
• Set up, disassemble, and clean production equipment and facilities according to SOPs and cGMPs.
• Utilize in-process devices such as moisture analyzers, scales, hardness testers, and calipers.
• Operate material handling devices including electric and manual pallet jacks.
• Follow strict safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6-12 months of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Basic mechanical skills and experience using various hand tools.
• Mathematical proficiency, including the ability to apply the metric system to process calculations.
• Ability to lift 20-50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret complex written and oral procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical school certificate or 1-2 years of college education.
• Minimum of one year of experience specifically in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Windows-based personal computer applications.
