About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of compounding operations, including manufacturing, process, systems, quality, and accounting for the Augusta plant.
  • Ensure safe operations by identifying and resolving unsafe acts and conditions and participating in safety audits and incident investigations.
  • Resolve operational difficulties and provide technical problem-solving to eliminate the production of nonconforming materials.
  • Debottleneck production to increase run rates and achieve targeted production costs.
  • Develop and implement capital projects to support compounding improvements.
  • Track and communicate key performance measurements including yields, costs, reliability, and quality metrics.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for at-line training and act as a lean manufacturing champion for the compounding area.
  • Design and document screw profiles to provide optimal product run rates and physical properties.

Requirements

  • Chemical Engineering degree.
  • 2-5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Proficiency in using statistical analyses and techniques.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and organize effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with twin screw extrusion.
