Compounding Lab Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations within the compounding labs, specifically overseeing non-sterile compounding activities
• Provide direct supervision, training, and mentorship to compounding technicians and lab assistants
• Ensure all compounds meet quality and safety standards in accordance with federal and state pharmacy regulations
• Maintain all critical documentation, including environmental controls, scale calibrations, and hood certifications
• Collaborate with the QA team to ensure employee safety and compound integrity
• Develop and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials
• Plan and execute the rollout of new compounding initiatives and project plans

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a front-line leadership or supervisory role
• Proven experience working within a compounding pharmacy
• Strong familiarity with USP chapters 795 and 800
• Proficiency with Computer Rx pharmacy software
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree
• Pharmacy Technician Certification
