Composites Technician - Assembly

Responsibilities

• Trim composite components using hand tools, air tools, and templates to meet tight tolerances
• Assemble composite parts using bonding techniques, adhesives, and mechanical fasteners
• Interpret and follow technical drawings, lay-up schedules, and work instructions
• Conduct surface preparation, sanding, deburring, and finishing operations
• Perform visual inspections and report any defects or non-conformances
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar composites trim and assembly role
• High level of skill in using hand and power tools for precision work
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Flexibility to work on a fixed-term nightshift

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in motorsport, aerospace, or high-performance manufacturing
• Knowledge of composite materials such as carbon fibre and glass fibre
• Familiarity with bonding techniques and adhesive systems
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
