Composite Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform repair, modification, installation, and replacement of aircraft composite parts according to task cards and approved technical data.
• Conduct inspections to accurately identify, record, and report structural defects or damage.
• Review work scope, documentation, and safety precautions with Engineers or Supervisors before commencing tasks.
• Execute assigned task cards and ensure timely, error-free sign-off within the Maintenance & Engineering software system.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety precautions, human factors management, and published maintenance procedures.
• Manage workshop tools and equipment, ensuring they are returned in good condition after use.
• Uphold high housekeeping standards to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Optimize resource usage by minimizing waste of consumables and preventing repeat work.

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Structural/Airframe discipline) or an equivalent technical discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in aircraft composite repair on large commercial aircraft (Airbus experience preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience working in a Base Maintenance Workshop environment.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft composite materials, repair techniques, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, maintenance task cards, and engineering instructions.
• Skilled in using standard workshop tools and equipment.
• Basic computer literacy for accessing maintenance software and documentation.
• Physically fit and able to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and outdoor environments.
• Ability to work in rostered shifts based on operational requirements.
