Composite Fabricator

Responsibilities

• Fabrication, installation, and assembly of composite parts using wet lay-up and pre-preg processes
• Dry fit, sub-assembly, and integration of aircraft components
• Hand sanding of composite surfaces using air saws, angle grinders, and drill motors
• Proper bagging of parts for vacuum processes and cure cycles
• Operating and monitoring curing ovens
• Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Operating ground handling equipment like scissor lifts and forklifts
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area

Requirements

• 2-10 years of experience in composite airframe and structure fabrication
• Ability to work at heights of 15ft or higher
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to wear a respirator
• Willingness to work overtime, staggered shifts, or weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Current A & P license
• Experience with high temperature materials (BMI resins, titanium, high temperature epoxies)
• Experience with laser metrology and precision tooling
• Experience with thermal protection system materials
