Composite Designer

Responsibilities

• Develop layouts and schemes for composite assemblies, ensuring optimal design and functionality
• Create detailed CAD models and drawings of composite components and tooling
• Prepare comprehensive manufacturing information for composite production processes, including materials, techniques, and quality standards
• Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure effective communication and implementation of design specifications
• Provide guidance and supervision to Graduate Designers to foster professional growth

Requirements

• Previous experience in Formula 1® or Top-Tier motorsport is essential
• Proven experience in a composite design role (bodywork, wings, bumpers, interior components)
• Proficiency in CAD software, preferably CATIA 3DX
• Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline
• Knowledge of composite component design, materials, properties, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to manage workloads and prioritize in a time-pressured environment
• Strong IT skills including MS Office
