Composite Blade Technician II

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, inspect, diagnose and document internal and external composite blade damage
• Perform coating and structural repairs of internal and external composite blade structures
• Modify and repair fiberglass, carbon fiber, resin and other composite materials
• Work with site leadership to execute contractual obligations and customer activities
• Complete and maintain required company and client documentation using computer-based tools
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience working with composite materials
• Familiarity with internal and external adhesive bonding
• Understanding of mixed ratios for composite repair chemicals
• Basic knowledge of repairing leading edge (LE) and trailing edge (TE) cracks
• Ability to work within confined space areas
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawings
• Ability to climb wind turbines vertically at least 300 feet
• Ability to lift and move equipment over 50 pounds
• Ability to maintain weight between 120 and 280 pounds for OSHA compliance
