About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop local markets for product sourcing in line with product strategies
- Drive material and component development to secure optimal quality, price, and lead-time
- Maintain and update digital and physical material and component libraries
- Interpret trends and concepts into material and component trends
- Educate and develop suppliers to leverage local capabilities and minimize risks
Requirements
- 7-12 years of relevant work experience in material and component development
- Sound costing and technical knowledge in knitting, weaving, dyeing, and finishing
- Expertise in synthetic, cotton, conscious fabrics, and yarn
- Strong experience in fabric development, sourcing, costing, and negotiation
- Deep knowledge of cotton, jersey, and woven fabrics
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with various stakeholders
