About the role
Responsibilities
- Review and validate new component requests for conformance to internal process requirements and DFM criteria
- Validate and buyoff 2nd/ALT sources versus primary sources from a DFM perspective
- Perform DFM assessments on components regarding packaging structure, process interaction, and reliability
- Conduct NUDD assessments focusing on components and PCBA level
- Perform Design for Assembly (DfA) and Design for Mechanical Assembly (DfMA) assessments
- Establish DfMA frameworks covering material selection, thermal dependency, and new technology
- Support lab activities including monitoring regular PM and CAL for measurement machines and systems
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical and Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in electronic manufacturing industry
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles and material properties
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Process knowledge in SMT assembly
- Proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of SolidWorks application
- Experience with Valor
