Component DFM Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Review and validate new component requests for conformance to internal process requirements and DFM criteria
• Validate and buyoff 2nd/ALT sources versus primary sources from a DFM perspective
• Perform DFM assessments on components regarding packaging structure, process interaction, and reliability
• Conduct NUDD assessments focusing on components and PCBA level
• Perform Design for Assembly (DfA) and Design for Mechanical Assembly (DfMA) assessments
• Establish DfMA frameworks covering material selection, thermal dependency, and new technology
• Support lab activities including monitoring regular PM and CAL for measurement machines and systems

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical and Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in electronic manufacturing industry
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles and material properties
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Process knowledge in SMT assembly
• Proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of SolidWorks application
• Experience with Valor
