About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own quality for advanced interconnect components including high-speed connectors, copper cables, cable cartridges, and patch panels
  • Drive quality-by-design through design reviews, DFM/DFx, and tolerance stack analysis
  • Define and track quality metrics such as DPPM, yield, and RMA trends
  • Build and execute qualification strategies for mechanical, environmental, and electrical reliability
  • Manage supplier and contract manufacturer performance through audits and scorecards
  • Lead root-cause investigations using 8D, 5-Whys, and Ishikawa methods
  • Partner with SI/PI teams to correlate electrical performance issues with manufacturing drivers
  • Support the integration and deployment of supercompute racks in lab and data center environments

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in quality engineering or reliability for interconnects or high-speed hardware
  • Hands-on experience with high-speed copper interconnect products and cable assemblies
  • Proficiency with quality tools including 8D, PFMEA, SPC, and MSA
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, GD&T, and electrical specifications
  • Experience driving supplier improvements and managing nonconformance workflows
  • Knowledge of cable manufacturing processes like welding, crimping, and overmolding
  • Experience with optical interconnects and fiber termination quality standards
  • Ability to travel internationally to work with supplier partners
