Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage sales and use tax compliance for multi-state construction and service operations
• Coordinate completion and renewal of customer, vendor, and third-party pre-qualification packages
• Maintain subcontractor compliance documentation including COIs, W-9s, and safety records
• Update and maintain subcontractor information in platforms such as Avetta and ISN
• Provide administrative support for contractor licensing, business registrations, and renewals
• Support lien waiver preparation, review, tracking, and documentation
• Develop and maintain compliance calendars, trackers, and checklists

Requirements

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or construction management preferred
• Three or more years of experience in accounting, compliance, tax, or construction administration
• Construction industry experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of sales and use tax, lien waivers, or contractor licensing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and construction accounting systems
• Strong organizational and communication skills
