Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough label reviews across all product categories to ensure compliance with EU requirements regarding ingredients, allergens, nutrition, and claims
• Manage product notification submissions to EU member states via relevant portals, including CPNP for cosmetics and EFSA for novel foods
• Optimize internal tools and processes to improve notification efficiency for new and existing products
• Maintain an organized internal database of label versions, submission records, and approval statuses
• Collaborate with EU Compliance and Sustainability specialists to align labeling with regulatory and environmental standards
• Liaise with marketing, design, and product development teams to integrate labeling requirements early in the product lifecycle
• Ensure all product documentation, such as COAs and safety assessments, is accurately filed and linked to notifications
• Monitor evolving EU labeling legislation and update internal SOPs and templates accordingly

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in EU product labeling and regulatory submissions
• Hands-on experience with EU notification portals (e.g., CPNP, eProcedure, or national supplement portals)
• Strong knowledge of EU regulations, including Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 and EC No 1223/2009
• Bachelor's degree in Regulatory Affairs, Life Sciences, Food Technology, or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Business Suite
• Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Fluency in English; additional EU languages are a strong asset
