Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Embed a strong financial control, compliance, and governance environment across supported Operating Units or Global functions.
• Act as the first line of defence for finance compliance, ensuring consistent execution of financial policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor compliance activities and assist in the collation of outcomes from internal and external audits.
• Execute and monitor financial controls in accordance with SOX/Non-SOX frameworks and local regulatory requirements.
• Escalate identified control deficiencies, policy breaches, and compliance risks to senior leadership.
• Support engagement with Internal and External Audit, including evidence gathering and issue remediation tracking.
• Contribute to the standardization and simplification of compliance processes through automation and best practice sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in financial auditing or accounting roles, preferably within multinational companies.
• Proven experience in compliance, audit, or controllership roles within a matrix environment.
• Strong background in reporting under SOX and local compliance regulations.
• Proficiency in digital tools including Advanced Excel and ERP systems such as SAP or Workday.
• Advanced knowledge of IFRS and internal control frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA.
• Proficiency in Power BI, SAC, or other data visualization tools.
• Experience working within a shared services, hub, or regional finance model.
