About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain and assure compliance of Gas Control activities, focusing on procedures, controlled documentation, and quality system implementation
- Own and govern Gas Control operating procedures, ensuring they are current, approved, and aligned with operations
- Manage and maintain controlled documents and records, including manuals, operational standards, and compliance evidence for audits
- Support implementation of the Control & Monitor sub-program by translating requirements into practical, auditable controls
- Participate in commissioning and operational readiness activities, verifying roles, procedures, and systems
- Conduct compliance checks, self-assessments, and gap analyses to support regulatory inspections and management reviews
- Support Management of Change (MOC) activities to ensure all procedural and training updates are completed prior to implementation
- Support follow-up on control room incidents and near misses to ensure lessons learned are embedded into documentation
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in engineering, science, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of gas pipeline operations, system constraints, and risk-based operational decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to balance operational risk, stakeholder expectations, and value delivery
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex operational concepts for varied audiences
- Strong organizational acumen and the ability to build effective partnerships across stakeholders
- Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness during periods of high workload or operational stress
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to pipeline compliance, audit, or regulatory policy
- Experience building governance and assurance processes such as decision logs, audits, or training/competency programs
- Experience using data and analytics to drive decisions, with familiarity in tools like Power BI or SEEQ
