Compliance - Quant Modeling Senior Associate (Fair Lending)

Responsibilities

• Conduct statistical analyses and bias testing to review business models, including traditional, ML/AI, and Gen AI based models for fair lending compliance
• Engage with extensive model documentation to understand complex models from a fair lending perspective
• Build data-driven algorithms to mitigate potential disparate impact by working with developers, strategy owners, and Legal
• Prepare presentations and reports to explain statistical results to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Perform research and development to align the fair lending compliance program with industry and regulatory standards
• Create model documentation and work with Control, Audit, and Model Governance teams
• Support the maintenance of relevant policies and procedures and represent fair lending in regulatory exams and audits

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering) with 4+ years of experience, or Graduate degree with 3+ years of experience
• Proficiency in Python, shell scripting, cloud computing (AWS), Spark, Git/Bitbucket, and DataBricks
• Experience with database systems such as Snowflake, Hadoop, Teradata, or Hive
• Experience developing and evaluating linear/logistic regression and machine learning/AI models
• Experience in banking, consumer financial products, or regulatory agencies (e.g., OCC, CFPB)
• Strong project management, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with bias detection tools or fairness research
• Experience in LLM prompt engineering and LLM-based model development (transformers, embeddings, large language models)
