About the role

Responsibilities

  • Monitor anti-abuse signals, logs, and alerts to identify likely abuse and recommend mitigations
  • Investigate and address compliance and deliverability-impacting abuse events
  • Perform customer-impacting incident triage to determine scope and urgency
  • Generate and review reporting related to threat alerts and user log behavior
  • Partner with Engineering and Security to test and implement signal tuning
  • Enhance compliance workflows, tools, and techniques to support strategic growth
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Deliverability, Security, and Customer teams
  • Coordinate with external vendors on day-to-day issues and document outcomes
  • Represent Klaviyo in the anti-abuse community through conferences and forums
  • Write clear case notes, runbook steps, and internal training content

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a technical SaaS, anti-abuse, trust & safety, or compliance operations role
  • Proficiency in data analysis with infrastructure-level and behavioral data
  • SQL or equivalent query experience strongly preferred
  • AI fluency and experience using LLMs or AI-assisted tools for investigation
  • Experience with anti-abuse/fraud tools like Sift, Stripe Radar, or eHawk
  • Strong understanding of fraud landscapes, security protocols, and messaging compliance
  • Familiarity with log analysis or SIEM-style tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog)
  • Familiarity with APIs, email/SMS marketing platforms, and e-commerce ecosystems
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Zendesk, and Salesforce

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active participation in anti-abuse industry groups like M3AAWG
  • Experience with SMS/MMS technologies or technical writing
  • Python, pandas, or BI tool experience (Looker, Tableau)
  • Familiarity with workflow automation tools like Zapier
