Compliance Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior compliance representative for Hong Kong and maintain the MSO licence.
• Lead interactions with Hong Kong Customs & Excise Department (CED), JFIU, and other regulatory authorities.
• Lead regulatory inspections, audits, and licence renewals.
• Own the Hong Kong AML/CTF framework and conduct enterprise AML risk assessments.
• Oversee onboarding, KYC, CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring, and sanctions controls.
• Partner with Commercial, Product, and Operations teams to support business growth with a risk-based approach.
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business guidance.
• Deliver engaging compliance training to regional teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience within financial services, fintech, or payments.
• Significant experience operating within the Hong Kong AML regulatory framework.
• Experience working directly with regulators and banking partners.
• Strong understanding of MSO licensing obligations.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written); Cantonese is highly desirable.
• CAMS, ICA Diploma, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage projects independently.

• Experience driving financial crime controls through automation and AI.
• Experience in a rapidly changing fintech environment.
