About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day export and import compliance activities for manufacturing sites in Tianjin, Suzhou, and Bangkok.
- Prepare and process all necessary export and import documentation and declarations.
- Oversee accurate HS, COO, and Dual-Use/ECCN classifications in coordination with relevant functions.
- Manage Know Your Customer (KYC) processes and facilitate vetting of third-party business partners and suppliers.
- Interface with government authorities, including China Customs and MOFCOM, as required.
- Establish and oversee internal audit processes for trade compliance and perform Restricted Party Screening.
- Draft and maintain trade compliance policies, procedures, and provide regular training to functional departments.
- Facilitate Compliance Risk Assessments (CRA) and implement necessary remediation.
Requirements
- Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
- University degree in logistics, supply chain, international business, or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of China import/export regulations and U.S. regulations including EAR, OFAC, HTS, and dual-use/ECCN.
- Strong understanding of global trade, international shipping (incoterms), and customs procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence leadership and peers.
- Highly organized with proven project management experience and a high level of ethics.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4-6 years of professional experience in trade compliance and anti-corruption.
- Fluency in Thai in addition to Mandarin and English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
