Compliance Lead

Responsibilities

• Shape, maintain, and improve global product movement by managing import/export documentation, licenses, and regulatory compliance processes.
• Streamline export license processes, including standard and Open General (OGELs) licenses for military and dual-use technologies.
• Perform rigorous due diligence on end-user certificates.
• Manage import and export documentation throughout the Sales–Despatch process, including customs declarations, bills of lading, and shipping documents.
• Maintain and improve import/export systems to support international trade compliance goals.
• Manage relationships with customs officials and regulatory bodies to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Logistics, Engineering, Purchasing, and Finance teams.

Requirements

• A' Level or equivalent qualification in business, law, or a compliance-related subject.
• Practical experience in regulatory compliance with specific responsibilities in import and export.
• Strong understanding of UK legal and regulatory requirements and export control regulations.
• Knowledge of REACH and RoHS regulations.
• Ability to conduct internal audits and manage complex documentation.
• Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex regulatory information.
• Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional and global teams.
