Compliance & Credit Risk Executive

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with local and international regulations, focusing on AML/CFT, sanctions, and maritime trade.
• Perform robust KYC and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) for onboarding and periodic reviews of counterparties.
• Conduct comprehensive credit assessments, including in-depth financial analysis and risk profiling.
• Establish and monitor credit limits and payment terms while tracking daily counterparty exposure.
• Prepare and distribute daily credit risk reports to the Trading Department.
• Monitor accounts receivable and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve payment disputes and overdue accounts.
• Facilitate basic trade finance operations, such as the issuance and management of Letters of Credit (LCs).

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of direct experience in credit risk, compliance, or trade finance.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to interpret financial statements and liquidity metrics.
• Proven experience in assessing counterparty risk.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced trading environment with a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills to explain credit decisions to traders and management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Trade Finance.
• Experience in bunkering, shipping, oil trading, or commodity trading.
