Compliance Analyst

Responsibilities

• Act as the approved Compliance Officer and MLRO for the VARA-regulated entity
• Serve as the primary regulatory liaison and point of contact with VARA
• Maintain and enhance the firm’s AML/CFT framework in alignment with UAE Federal laws and FATF recommendations
• Oversee transaction monitoring, investigations, and the filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) via goAML
• Manage sanctions screening and escalation processes
• Develop and implement policies for KYC/CDD/EDD, market conduct, and operational compliance
• Provide compliance oversight for new products, services, and token listings
• Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain compliance monitoring programs
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and provide organization-wide training

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Compliance, AML, or Financial Crime
• Proven experience acting as or supporting a Compliance Officer and/or MLRO
• Strong understanding of KYC, CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring, and sanctions frameworks
• Experience within financial services, fintech, or the virtual assets industry

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a regulated VASP environment under VARA, ADGM, or FSRA
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools such as Elliptic or TRM Labs
• Relevant professional certifications in compliance or AML
