Complex Director

Responsibilities

• Own and accelerate growth across a defined California territory with full P&L accountability.
• Lead branch and associate managers, advisors, and operational support staff to drive revenue and asset growth.
• Execute national recruiting strategies to attract high-quality experienced and novice advisors.
• Drive profitable organic growth through active coaching, business planning, and delivery of the Ameriprise Client Experience.
• Perform front-line and second-level supervision to ensure all sales activities are compliant and aligned with client risk tolerance.
• Manage and resolve risk items while maintaining high brand standards and client satisfaction.
• Conduct regular business reviews, 1:1s, and branch visits to ensure performance targets are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7-10 years of experience in financial services with a proven ability to execute growth playbooks.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate large organizations.
• Strong financial acumen, including P&L expense management and data analysis.
• Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 24 (or S9/S10) licenses.
• Active State Securities Agent Registration (S63 or S66).
• Active IAR Registration (S65 or S66).
• Active Life and Variable Contracts insurance licenses.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree.
• Relevant industry designations, such as CFP.
