Complex Care Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with complex autism and learning disabilities.
• Follow Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies and individual support plans.
• Support individuals with daily living skills, personal development, and social integration.
• Recognise and respond proactively to signs of anxiety or distress to prevent escalation.
• Assist with appointments, shopping trips, holidays, and community participation.
• Administer and manage medication safely and accurately.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and communication logs.
• Support individuals with budgeting and managing personal finances.
• Work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience supporting people with autism and learning difficulties.
• Valid UK Manual driving licence and access to a car.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of person-centred approaches.

Preferred Qualifications

• Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
