Complex Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide essential clinical and personal care for a child with multiple complex needs
• Manage PEG feeding and medication administration via PEG
• Perform intermittent catheterisation and catheter care
• Administer oxygen therapy and suctioning
• Support personal care and repositioning using appropriate moving and handling equipment
• Provide emotional reassurance and engage with the child using strong communication skills and non-verbal cues

Requirements

• Essential experience in complex care
• Proficiency in PEG Feeding (Mickey Button)
• Experience with Non-Invasive Ventilation and suctioning
• Knowledge of catheter care and bowel management
• Competency in medication administration
• Experience using moving and handling equipment
