About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide essential clinical and personal care for a child with multiple complex needs
- Manage PEG feeding and medication administration via PEG
- Perform intermittent catheterisation and catheter care
- Administer oxygen therapy and suctioning
- Support personal care and repositioning using appropriate moving and handling equipment
- Provide emotional reassurance and engage with the child using strong communication skills and non-verbal cues
Requirements
- Essential experience in complex care
- Proficiency in PEG Feeding (Mickey Button)
- Experience with Non-Invasive Ventilation and suctioning
- Knowledge of catheter care and bowel management
- Competency in medication administration
- Experience using moving and handling equipment
