About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical supervision and instruction for nursing students in a clinical setting
- Plan clinical experiences and evaluate student performance based on course objectives
- Provide documented feedback and remediation to students as required
- Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student learning needs
- Grade homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork in a timely manner
- Maintain current knowledge of agency clinical policies and procedures
- Keep the course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues
Requirements
- Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution
- Unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Oregon
- At least two years of professional RN experience within the last five years
- Subject matter expertise in adult health or critical care
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching or precepting experience
- Passion for nursing education and lifelong learning
