Complaints Investigator

Responsibilities

• Investigate audience complaints regarding ABC content and assess compliance with ABC Editorial Policies and the Code of Practice.
• Prepare impartial, evidence-based findings and provide high-level recommendation reports to senior leaders.
• Manage complex investigations and present insights to contribute to the continuous improvement of complaint handling practices.
• Maintain accurate records and support the Investigations Unit through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
• Influence editorial standards by sharing investigation insights across the organization.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to investigate complex complaints and interpret organizational policy.
• Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
• Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and managing competing priorities within tight timeframes.
• Solid understanding of complaint handling principles, broadcasting, and the broader media environment.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge, and experience.
