Compiler Engineer — LLVM Backend

Responsibilities

• Own LLVM backend development for a custom accelerator ISA, including instruction selection, register allocation, scheduling, and linker support
• Manage scalar, vector, and floating-point pipelines
• Use and develop AI-assisted tool flows to accelerate compiler development and performance tuning
• Collaborate with chip-design and software teams from first silicon through scale-out

Requirements

• 5+ years of compiler engineering experience
• Hands-on LLVM target development experience
• Exceptional knowledge of LLVM backend internals (TableGen, instruction selection, scheduling, register allocation)
• Strong understanding of computer architecture, ISA design, and compiler-hardware co-design
• Ability to debug correctness and performance regressions across the full compilation flow

Preferred Qualifications

• Custom-ISA bring-up experience
• MLIR experience
• GPU or accelerator backend experience
• Linker or loader work
