About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest level of corporate governance within BlackRock entities
  • Manage the business of entities and committees through agenda setting, preparing and distributing Board packs, and monitoring Board delegation policies
  • Draft high-quality minutes for Boards and Committees
  • Ensure all submissions are of a high standard and proactively address key items for Board review
  • Assist in monitoring and updating Board and Committee diaries
  • Update company records using internal systems and Blueprint
  • Review and draft documents, procedures, and terms of reference
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with Chairpersons, directors, and internal stakeholders
  • Support the governance and control framework to meet all regulatory and statutory obligations
  • Collaborate with the Compliance team to manage regulator information requests
  • Attend to onboarding and ongoing Due Diligence, AML, and KYC requests

Requirements

  • Qualified or Part-Qualified Company Secretary
  • Experience supporting Fund Boards and Committees (ideally in UCITS, AIF, or Super ManCo environments)
  • Practical understanding of delegation models and Board reserved matters
  • Strong minute-taking ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and build connections across all levels of management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment for management companies
  • Familiarity and experience with Blueprint or Diligent Software
  • Deep understanding of and interest in investment funds
