About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated support to clients with a mental health diagnosis, focusing on recovery and community living goals
  • Coach and encourage independence through daily routines and decision-making
  • Assist with cooking, cleaning, and home upkeep to empower client autonomy
  • Encourage community access and engagement in local activities
  • Support capacity building and self-management of lifestyle and wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and mental health support teams
  • Follow and contribute to individualised support plans

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience working with people with mental illness or psychosocial disability
  • Unrestricted Western Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Ability to clear state-based probity checks, including National Criminal History and NDIS Worker Screening
