About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct group and individual training sessions for new hires and existing staff.
- Develop, update, and enhance training curriculum, including web-based modules and advanced skills training.
- Coordinate and manage training programs, such as new hire academies and certification courses.
- Prepare and submit required documentation to the Texas Leadership and Development Division (TLDD).
- Maintain training databases and tracking systems to ensure accurate completion records.
- Perform quality assurance reviews to evaluate the application of skills acquired during training.
- Provide status updates to management regarding onboarding progress and skill development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Certified Trainer Course.
- Ability to obtain state-mandated Community Supervision Officer qualifications within one year.
- Ability to obtain and maintain TRAS certification.
- Ability to meet minimum requirements for CJIS information access.
- Proven experience in developing PowerPoint presentations and lesson plans.
- Strong verbal communication and facilitation skills.
