Community Speech & Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage communication and swallowing disorders
• Work with individuals, groups, families, and carers to formulate management plans
• Evaluate therapeutic outcomes and maintain up-to-date records
• Support AAC users and write reports for case conferences
• Supervise assistants, conduct appraisals, and manage a defined caseload
• Collaborate with other professionals and agencies
• Deliver training and manage resources cost-effectively

Requirements

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification
• HCPC registration
• Experience with communication needs
• Knowledge of clinical governance and audit processes
• Valid driver's license
