Community Relations Manager

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ongoing relationships with local stakeholders including county commissioners, city officials, and civic leaders
• Support in-market issues management and provide local intelligence during community concerns or organized opposition
• Own planning and execution of Open House and Town Hall programs across active campus markets
• Support the VP, Community Relations in public proceedings, rezoning hearings, and community engagement events
• Travel regularly to assigned campus markets to sustain active relationships and respond to emerging issues
• Communicate market conditions and stakeholder sentiment to leadership with accuracy and urgency
• Coordinate with Corporate Communications and Marketing regarding local media or communication needs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5–8 years of experience in community relations, public affairs, external affairs, or government relations
• Ability to travel frequently to assigned campus markets

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in energy, infrastructure, real estate development, or a related sector
• Strong communication skills for diverse audiences
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stakes or adversarial situations
