About the role
Responsibilities
- Build and own Mercury’s CRA program end-to-end, including policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
- Develop and execute the CRA strategic plan, coordinating with internal partners and community organizations
- Engage with Bank Leadership on CRA mapping and the applicability of product offerings
- Own CRA reporting and deliver credible updates to senior leadership and Board-level stakeholders
- Maintain and update the CRA Public File in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Manage CRA data integrity, including loans, community development investments, donations, and service hours
- Build a Utah-specific community network from scratch by maintaining relationships with economic development and housing organizations
- Serve as the primary CRA contact during regulatory examinations and independent audits
- Oversee the Bank's volunteer program to meet strategic commitments
Requirements
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in CRA and community development
- Strong understanding of CRA regulations and regulatory expectations
- Experience building or managing CRA programs in evolving or ambiguous environments
- Proven experience leading regulatory-facing CRA examinations
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to influence without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with digital banking or strategic plan CRA development
