Community Planner

Responsibilities

• Provide community planning and management of human and physical aspects of land use and installation development at Prince Sultan Air Base.
• Facilitate the development and maintenance of the Installation Development Plan (IDP) and other comprehensive planning studies.
• Ensure compatible use planning between on and off-installation facility and infrastructure development.
• Plan, program, budget, and execute required projects in support of assigned programs using cost estimating tools.
• Collect data and evaluate factors affecting the physical development, maintenance, and management of installation infrastructure assets.
• Prepare planning studies and analyze quantitative and qualitative data.
• Cooperate with U.S. deployed forces and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) partners as an integral team member.
• Ensure compliance with US laws, Saudi Labor Law, Air Force Instructions (AFI), and local standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Community Planning, Architecture, or Engineering (relevant experience may waive degree requirement).
• Minimum 4 years of work experience with similar projects.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Valid U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Valid Passport book with at least 13 months of remaining validity and 6 blank visa/stamp pages.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Must meet CENTCOM MOD-15 theater requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Attendance at the AFIT WENG 519, Air Force Installation Planning Principles course.
• Experience setting up DOD/USAF Bare Bases and performing change and growth management.
