Community Physiotherapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement physiotherapy treatment programs for elderly patients and those at risk of falls
• Work within a community rehabilitation setting collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Supervise and appraise junior physiotherapy colleagues, assistants, and students
• Teach MDT team members regarding physiotherapy and falls prevention
• Maintain up-to-date professional practice and research knowledge

Requirements

• Experience in elderly care and falls prevention
• Post-registration experience in community rehabilitation and multidisciplinary settings
• Experience supervising junior colleagues, assistants, and students
• Knowledge of national guidelines for falls prevention, NSFs for Older People, and NICE guidelines
• Sound knowledge of neurology, anatomy, and clinical reasoning
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computerized client database systems like RiO
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
