Community Outreach Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage community-based programs including Loyola4Chicago, St. Thomas of Canterbury Soup Kitchen Outreach, and Saturday of Service.
• Recruit, train, and support student participants and student leaders in initiatives rooted in Jesuit mission and values.
• Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with local non-profit organizations through regular communication and site visits.
• Design and facilitate student reflection, learning, and holistic development experiences related to service and social justice.
• Manage departmental marketing and public engagement, with an emphasis on student-focused social media and storytelling.
• Oversee program logistics, risk management policies, and the assessment of program learning outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Education, Social Work, Pastoral Theology, or similar).
• 3-5 years of related experience in community engagement or higher education.
• Knowledge of Ignatian tradition, Jesuit values, and the ability to apply them to student programming.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web content management.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to operate university-owned vehicles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in social media content development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, Social Work, Pastoral Theology, or a related field.
• Experience implementing reflection and discernment experiences for students.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing impactful and mutually beneficial community collaborations.
