About the Company

Ounce is a community-based service model enabled by technology that provides services to residents of affordable housing properties to improve engagement and outcomes at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage residents through door-to-door flyering, community events, tabling, and phone-based outreach
  • Help residents schedule doctor’s appointments and apply for benefits like SNAP, TANF, and LIHEAP
  • Act as a health and wellness advocate and track referrals within the technology platform
  • Build and maintain trust and respect with residents and community partners
  • Accurately document all outreach, services, and resident interactions in the Ounce platform
  • Plan, coordinate, and host ongoing on-site programming and monthly engagement events
  • Attend required team meetings, trainings, and check-ins

Requirements

  • Experience navigating government benefits (e.g., SNAP, TANF, LIHEAP, Medicaid)
  • Experience coordinating care to local organizations
  • Ability to commit to a set schedule of 20 hours per week (2.5 days between 9AM to 5PM)
  • Ability to commute within Chattanooga, TN
  • Strong organizational skills and dependability
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by affordable housing residents

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to speak Korean or Spanish
