Community Mortgage Bank Sales Consultant

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans within assigned bank branches and collaborate with branch leadership
• Interact with customers to understand their needs and provide high-quality mortgage product solutions
• Process low to moderately complex loan applications and review rates and terms within guidelines
• Conduct outbound calls to existing and prospective customers regarding mortgage products
• Mentor and coach branch employees to increase knowledge of mortgage products and processes
• Maintain high standards of client satisfaction through timely and proactive communication
• Adhere to all underwriting, compliance, and loan procedures to meet regulatory requirements

Requirements

• 2+ years of sales experience or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, or education
• Ability to meet SAFE registration requirements at the time of employment
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of mortgage retail sales experience
• Expertise in general lending products and the mortgage industry
• Experience with FHA, VA, and conventional loan products
• Established relationships with local realtor organizations and affordable lending nonprofits
• Knowledge of community loan products and specialized LMI mortgage solutions
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
