Community Mortgage Bank Sales Consultant (SAFE)

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans within assigned bank branches and collaborate with branch leadership
• Conduct outbound calls to existing and prospective customers regarding mortgage loan products
• Analyze client needs to offer appropriate mortgage loan products and provide high-quality customer service
• Process loan applications and review rates and terms within established guidelines
• Mentor and coach branch employees to increase knowledge of mortgage products and processes
• Maintain high standards of client satisfaction through timely and proactive communication
• Adhere to all company policies, underwriting requirements, and compliance regulations
• Stay informed of mortgage industry trends to maintain visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the marketplace

Requirements

• 2+ years of sales experience (or equivalent through training, military experience, or education)
• Bilingual proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish and English
• Ability to obtain SAFE registration at the time of employment
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
• Ability to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of mortgage retail sales experience
• Expertise in general lending products and the mortgage industry
• Experience with FHA, VA, and conventional loans
• Established relationships with realtor organizations and affordable lending nonprofits
• Knowledge of community loan products and specialized LMI mortgage solutions
• Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills
