Community Mortgage Bank Sales Consultant (SAFE)

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans within assigned bank branches and collaborate with branch leadership to drive growth.
• Conduct outbound calls to existing and prospective customers to discuss mortgage loan products and track activities.
• Interact with customers to understand their financial needs and provide high-quality mortgage product solutions.
• Process low to moderately complex mortgage loan applications, reviewing rates and terms within established guidelines.
• Mentor and coach branch employees to increase their knowledge of mortgage products and processes.
• Maintain high standards of client satisfaction through proactive and timely communication.
• Adhere to all company policies, underwriting requirements, and compliance regulations, including the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act.

Requirements

• 2+ years of sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAFE registration at the time of employment.
• Ability to meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) qualification requirements, including financial responsibility and character standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mortgage industry trends and developments.
• Proven ability to build and maintain visibility within a local marketplace.
• Experience in a banking or financial services environment.
