Community Mortgage Bank Sales Consultant (SAFE)

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans within assigned bank branches and collaborate with branch leadership to drive product knowledge.
• Conduct outbound calls to existing and prospective customers regarding mortgage loan products.
• Interact with customers to understand their needs, analyze financial profiles, and offer appropriate mortgage products.
• Process loan applications and review rates and terms within established guidelines.
• Maintain high standards of client satisfaction through timely and proactive communication.
• Adhere to all company policies, underwriting requirements, and compliance regulations, including the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act.
• Stay informed of mortgage industry trends to maintain high visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the marketplace.

Requirements

• 2+ years of sales experience (or equivalent through work, training, military, or education).
• SAFE registration required at the time of employment.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Ability to meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) qualification requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of mortgage retail sales experience.
• Expertise in general lending products and the mortgage industry.
• Established relationships with realtor organizations and affordable lending nonprofits.
• Experience with FHA, VA, and conventional loan products.
• Experience with community loan products and specialized LMI mortgage solutions.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish/English.
• Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
