Community Ministries Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Provide general support to ensure the dinner program at the Centre of Hope runs efficiently
• Support various community ministry initiatives including lunch and dinner programs, family services, and the Christmas campaign
• Schedule and organize volunteers for dinner service
• Receive, sort, and organize non-monetary donations in accordance with food safety regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the kitchen, food storage, dining room, and intake office
• Facilitate spiritual care for staff and guests, including leading grace for meals
• Network and refer clients to government and community social service providers
• Ensure proper safety precautions, hygiene standards, and sanitation are maintained throughout the facility

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of prior related experience, including working with multi-barriered persons
• Food Safe Level I certification
• First Aid Certification
• WHMIS and Naloxone training
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract
• Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing more than 20 lbs
