Community Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise, control, and plan the day-to-day activities of the apartment community
• Implement company policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a well-managed and well-maintained building
• Recruit, hire, orient, and train new personnel while providing ongoing staff support
• Maintain accurate community records, including rent rolls, delinquency reports, and accounts payable
• Prepare annual budgets, income projections, and manage daily bank deposits
• Execute marketing strategies to secure prospective residents and maintain full occupancy
• Oversee leasing practices to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws
• Manage resident relations, including lease renewals, evictions, and maintenance request oversight
• Conduct regular property inspections to identify and resolve deficiencies within budget limits
• Manage risk, emergency procedures, and supervise outside contractors

Requirements

• 3+ years of property management experience
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Fair Housing certification (must be achieved before interacting with prospects or residents)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and community software applications
• Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations
• Ability to work evenings and weekends and handle emergency situations
• Ability to pass a drug test

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) designation
• Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) designation
• Bilingual in Spanish
• College degree
