Community Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise, control, and plan the day-to-day activities of the Parkview Terraces apartment community
• Implement company policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a well-managed and well-maintained building
• Manage personnel by screening, hiring, orienting, and training new staff members
• Maintain accurate community records, including rent rolls, delinquency reports, and accounts payable
• Prepare annual budgets, income projections, and manage daily bank deposits
• Drive occupancy through effective marketing strategies and aggressive lease renewal efforts
• Oversee maintenance requests, common area upkeep, and the availability of make-ready vacant units
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including Fair Housing regulations
• Manage risk, emergency procedures, and supervise outside contractors

Requirements

• 3+ years of property management experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and community software applications
• Ability to obtain Fair Housing certification
• Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) designation
• Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) designation
• Bilingual in Spanish
• College degree
