Community Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise and plan the day-to-day activities of the apartment community to ensure effective management and maintenance.
• Implement company policies, procedures, and programs to maintain a well-managed building and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Recruit, hire, orient, and train on-site personnel while providing ongoing leadership and support.
• Manage financial operations, including preparing annual budgets, income projections, rent collection, and processing invoices.
• Drive occupancy through effective marketing strategies and aggressive lease renewal efforts.
• Oversee leasing practices to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Maintain accurate resident files, community transaction records, and delinquency reports.
• Ensure the community remains clean, safe, and well-maintained by overseeing maintenance requests and inspecting the property regularly.
• Manage risk, emergency procedures, and outside contractors.

Requirements

• 3+ years of property management experience.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and community software applications.
• Ability to obtain Fair Housing certification.
• Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) certification.
• Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) certification.
• College degree.
